Core Cleaning Ontario

Privacy Policy, in plain English.

What we collect when you send a cleaning request, why we have it, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.

Last updated 13 October 2026

Who this is about

Core Cleaning Ontario takes cleaning requests across Waterloo Region, Milton and Guelph, prices them, and coordinates the work. We employ no cleaners: a local cleaning service partner carries out the visit. When you send a request, the point of collecting anything at all is to work out what the job needs, quote it to you, and then give the service partner assigned to it what they need to do it.

This page covers what we collect, why we have it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.

What we collect

Everything on this list comes from you, typed into the request form or said on the phone:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and how you would rather be contacted.
  • Where the property is: the city and the postal code.
  • What the property is: type, bedrooms, bathrooms, roughly how big, and what condition it is in.
  • What you want done, any add-ons, how often, and when.
  • Anything you add yourself: access notes, pets, preferences, special requirements.
  • An expected price range and where you heard about us, if you choose to answer. Both questions are optional and always will be.

The site also records a few things you did not type: the page you arrived on, the site or advert that sent you, and the date and time. That is so we can tell which advertising actually brings people in, and nothing more.

We do not ask for and do not want payment details. Nothing is paid through this website, and the form does not take photographs, documents or anything else you would have to upload.

Requests you do not finish

This one matters, so it is not buried. The request form asks for your contact details and your consent on its last stage, after the questions about the job. From the moment that stage holds a ticked consent box and a way of reaching you (an email address or a phone number), leaving without finishing sends us what you had entered so far, marked as unfinished and showing the question you stopped at. That applies whether you close the tab or click away to another page, and you do not have to press the send button for the request to count.

That is deliberate. A half-finished request is usually someone who got interrupted, and we would rather be able to follow it up than let it disappear. It also means we may contact you about a request you did not send, which is exactly what the consent tick says.

Nothing at all is sent before that tick. If you leave the form at any point without consenting, we receive nothing.

Your answers are also kept in your own browser while you fill the form in, so a reload does not cost you your place. That copy lives on your device, clears when you close the tab, and you can wipe it at any time with the Start again link on the form.

Why we have it

  • To understand what you are asking for and to answer you.
  • To work out what the job needs, price it, and confirm the price with you.
  • To give the service partner assigned to the work what they need in order to carry it out on your date.
  • To keep a record of the request, the quote and the consent you gave.
  • To follow the job up afterwards, and to put right anything that was not right.
  • To see which advertising is working, in the aggregate.

We do not sell your information. We do not sell it to cleaning companies, we do not sell it to lead brokers, and we do not build a list to rent out.

If you apply to be a cleaning partner

The application form on the Work With Us page is a different thing to a cleaning request, and it is worth setting out separately because it is a business writing to us rather than a household.

It collects the business name, a contact name, a phone number and an email address, the areas and services you cover, how many of you there are, how much work you could take on, when you can work, how long you have been running, whether commercial liability cover and business registration are in place, and optionally a website, a Google Business Profile and anything you add in your own words.

  • It asks whether cover and registration are in place. It does not ask for policy numbers, registration numbers or certificates, and you should not send them through it.
  • If an application goes further, we ask for documents directly, and not through a form that turns into an email.

We use it to decide whether to take the business on and which work to put in front of it. We do not pass an application to another cleaning business, and we do not pass it to a customer. It reaches the same inbox as a cleaning request, by the same route, and everything on this page about how long we keep things and how to have them removed applies to it in the same way.

Who else sees it

The service partner assigned to carry out your clean. They receive what they need in order to do the job: your name and contact details, the address, the day, the scope you and we agreed, and what you told us about access, pets and how you like things done. From that point they hold their own record of the visit, under their own privacy practices.

One partner, not several. We do not circulate your request around the network to see who bites, and nobody who is not carrying out your work receives your details.

Beyond that, only the two suppliers that make this website work, and only to the extent they have to handle it in order to deliver it: the service that turns a request into an email to us (FormSubmit), which keeps its copy for 30 days, and the host that serves the site (Cloudflare Pages). And anyone we are legally required to give it to, which has not happened and we hope will not.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it to deal with your request and to hold a record that you consented, and then no longer. A request that goes nowhere is deleted rather than kept in case it becomes useful.

Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep something to show consent was properly given.

Seeing it and correcting it

You can ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. You can ask us to delete it. There is no charge and no form to fill in. An email is enough.

If you are not happy with how we have handled any of this, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages and which advertising bring people to the request form. It sets Google's analytics cookies to do that, and Google receives the page you viewed, a device identifier and your rough location. We use the reports in the aggregate; we do not use them to identify you, and we do not run advertising cookies or social media trackers.

It also uses your browser's own storage to hold your part-finished request, as described above. That is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and it clears when you close the tab.

If you would rather not be counted, a browser extension that blocks analytics will do it, and the site works the same without it.

Where your information is held

The website is served from, and the emails that carry your request pass through, servers that may be outside Canada, which is ordinary for websites of this kind. Where that is the case, the information is subject to the laws of the country it sits in.

We only take work in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Milton, Guelph and the communities around them, so the service partner who receives your details is local to you.

Changes to this page

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly widen what we collect or who we give it to.
